Get Moving! - TIME
Modern life has brought about a new epidemic—physical inactivity. Americans are not moving and failing to reap the myriad benefits of exercise.
Most of our focus is on diet and obesity, but fitness (which is not about weight or size) is often neglected. The components of fitness include “body composition, cardio-respiratory function, flexibility and range of motion, muscle strength, endurance, balance, and agility and coordination”. Unfortunately, no one seems to be measuring how we are doing on these and people are not giving enough attention to the need for exercise. Humans were made to move, so it’s vital for us to get off the couch and get moving!
